July 6, 2008 - Mаrіо Phіlіppоnа of the Netherlands is a sculptural artist who uses his love of the female form as inspiration for an intriguing line of furniture.
His "sexy furniture" - everything from long legs in high heels that hold your office supplies, to a cabinet on heels with an inlay of a female profile - mixes form and function in a unique and charming way. He designs his works in life size drawings and then assembles the sculpture from pre-cut layers of wood.
Mario himself says it best "Female forms, the most attractive in nature, inspired (me)".
